Need to know more about hiring a campervan through Camplify? We have answered some of our most common questions below:

 

How can I make a booking?

Bookings can be made in just 4 easy steps:

1. Head to Camplify and sign up for an account.

 

We use Camplify so we can offer you insurance and roadside assistance at no extra cost. It is easy to use and has a secure booking process.

 

2. If the link above doesn't take you directly to us, you may need to type ‘Terrigal’ in the location to find us then look for 'Oasis - the perfect retreat'.

 

3. Make a booking request. Add your dates and send us a booking request. We will accept the booking and 50% deposit is due within 48 hours. We will require the remaining balance 30 days prior to your departure.

 

4. Prepare for your BIG adventure! We will be in touch the week before your booking to confirm pickup details with you. Our pickup location is Terrigal, NSW.

 

How far can I take Oasis?

You are welcome to take Oasis as far as you like but please note we have a 200km/day limit averaged out across the hire period. After this, there is a fee of 30c per km. This is to keep Oasis in the best condition possible and to cover additional maintenance required. Please also be aware that off-road, night driving, beach driving and extended gravel roads are not permitted.

 

Does my booking include insurance?

Yes, every booking made through the secure Camplify platform has insurance included at no additional cost with the option to upgrade to reduce your excess.

What happens if I damage the van?

If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 - they call the NRMA. Then call us!

Mishaps may occur from time to time. It’s really important that you familiarise yourself with these processes to ensure you remain safe, and for us to help you get back on the road enjoying your holiday again.

 

What happens if the van breaks down? Is roadside assistance included?

Every hire through Camplify includes free NRMA nationwide roadside assistance. If any of the following incidents occur, our team and the NRMA will jump into action to assist you in safely getting back on the road again:

 

  • Changing flat batteries

  • Tyres requiring repair or changing (never attempt to change a tyre yourself)

  • Fixing a small engine problem

  • Towing required due to a van fault

What if I take a Tolls road?

Lucky for you, there aren’t any toll roads around the Central Coast but if you are taking the van through an area with tolls, charges will be recovered from your bond on completion of hire. Alternatively, you can bring your own eTag.

 

Is bedding included?

Yes, Oasis comes with hotel quality, natural fibre bedding to ensure you are comfortable and well-rested throughout the duration of your trip. We have included an all seasons, plush wool quilt, with 100% cotton quilt cover, silky bamboo/cotton sheets, cooling mattress and pillow protectors and high-quality pillows.

 

Can I drop the van off in a different location than pick up?

We are unable to offer this option at this stage. The van must be picked up and dropped off from Terrigal NSW 2260. However, we may consider one-way trips for longer distances from time to time. Please let us know what your intentions are and we can advise if it is possible.

 

Is the van powered?

Yes, Oasis has been fitted with 2 x solar panels and a dual battery  set up for off-grid power. We have multiple 12V sockets and a portable 240V inverter available so don’t forget your camera charger, phone and laptop.

 

Can I bring an esky for beers?

Definitely bring beers but no need for an esky. Oasis is fitted with a 130L Bushman’s fridge with more than enough room for your food and beverages, (or in your case, beers).

 

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, no pets allowed.

 

Am I required to clean the van?

The van must be returned in the same condition it was when you picked it up. Please clean the equipment used, put things back in their original placements, discard your rubbish and give it a general clean/tidy/wipe down before returning. Excessive cleaning will incur a minimum charge of $100.00.

 

What happens if I get a parking ticket or speeding fine?

You will be liable to pay if you get a parking ticket or speeding fine.

 

Who is eligible to drive the van?

Drivers must be 25 or over, hold a full driver’s license and be experienced at driving a manual vehicle of this size. A reversing camera has been fitted to make parking easier.

 

Where should I camp?

There are some stunning camping spots available on the Central Coast including national parks, remote areas and beachside camping. Check out the Visit NSW website for more information. There are some beautiful national parks in the area that can be booked online such as Freemans Campground - just make sure they are accessible with a 2WD.

Can you recommend things to do on the Central Coast?

Can I bring my SUP and/or surfboard?

Yes, In fact, we highly encourage it! Our roof racks can hold 2 x longboards and smaller surfboards will fit in the under bed storage. We will help you set this up on check-in to ensure the solar panels and roof vent don't get damaged. Please note, when hiring the van, you are responsible for any harm that might occur to your own belongings.

 

What is the minimum hire period?

The minimum hire period is two days eg. Friday to Saturday.

 

Do I have to book through Camplify?

Yes. Booking through Camplify allows us to have a secure booking process. It also means we can offer insurance and roadside assistance at no extra cost. Creating a Camplify account is free and all communication will be in Camplify - making the hire process simple and easy for us both!
