FIND YOUR NIRVANA

We are based in Terrigal NSW. Approximately 96km from Sydney. The Central Coast offers some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches that meet pristine National Parks and some snapshot worthy waterways. Come and explore the area’s natural treasures. Below are some of our favourite things to do and places to see in the area.
* Most of the following information has been sourced from the Visit NSW Website.
CAMPGROUNDS
Our personal favourite campgrounds are located in the Munmorah State Conversation Area. Both Freemans & Frazer campgrounds offer pristine beaches with walking, fishing, whale watching and surfing opportunities nearby.
Check out the Visit NSW Camping on the Central Coast page for more campgrounds of all shapes and sizes at windswept beaches, sparkling bays and pristine lakes. Holiday parks beside the seaside are popular for caravanning and camping, while campsites in the forest are ideal for bushwalking and other adventures.

BOUDDI COASTAL WALK
The eight-kilometre Bouddi coastal walk runs from Putty Beach to MacMasters Beach. Boasting beaches, boardwalks and birdlife, it’s known as one of the most beautiful central coast walks. This relatively easy hike is characterised by sweeping views, shady rainforest and inviting picnic spots.
There’s a photo opportunity around every corner on Bouddi coastal walk. You might see wildflowers or migrating whales from Gerrin Point lookout, along with the Bouddi National Park Marine Extension and the PS Maitland shipwreck at the eastern end of Maitland Bay. Stay overnight before you set off at Putty Beach campground or stop along the way at Little Beach campground.
Prefer a shorter walk? Break the walk into shorter sections - Putty Beach to Maitland Bay (three kilometres); Maitland Bay to Little Beach (3.5 kilometres); or Little Beach to MacMasters Beach (1.7 kilometres).
*To keep visitors safe ALL camping in NSW national parks now requires a booking. For day visitors, please plan ahead and visit outside of peak periods (11am and 2pm). Check park alerts and visit COVID-19 updates for more information before visiting any park – www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au *

CENTRAL COAST BEACHES
Before heading to the beach this summer, check Beachsafe for the latest updates.
You’ll find water at every turn on the NSW Central Coast with its beautiful beaches, scenic bays and tranquil lakes. It's these glittering waterways that make it a popular destination for day trips, beach holidays and water sports. There are chilled beachside picnic areas, as well as fantastic cafes and restaurants, too.
SURFING & SWIMMING
Some of the best surf on the Central Coast can be found at Tallow Beach in Bouddi National Park in the southern Gosford area near Killcare, Avoca Beach and Terrigal. Great waves can also be found at Shelly Beach near Bateau Bay in the northern Wyong area or at reef breaks at Toowoon Bay and Soldiers Beach in Norah Head. Our personal favourite beaches are North Avoca & Soldiers Beach.
There are beaches to suit every mood along the coastline. Learn the thrill of surfing at accredited surf schools, such as the Central Coast Surf Academy and Central Coast Surf School. There are plenty more aquatic adventures and tours, too, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, waterskiing and sailing.

CENTRAL COAST NATURE & PARKS
Experience the wild side of the Central Coast in magnificent national parks. Follow walking trails through untouched bushland, look out for whales and picnic by waterfalls. You can also see koalas or marvel at Elvis, the saltwater crocodile in wildlife sanctuaries and help feed pelicans, too.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Brisbane Water National Park, Bouddi National Park and Popran National Park make great starting points. Stop for photographs at viewing points along the way to the Somersby Falls picnic area, which has free barbecue facilities, and listen for the chorus of birdsong in Wyrrabalong National Park.
The Central Coast is paradise for outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, fishing or kayaking. The trails twist and turn around coastal wilderness, nature reserves, tranquil waterways and sublime beaches. Get some perspective at these spectacular lookouts:
